The Place of Azcona owned by Hernandez Family is one of those called "Palacio de Cabo de Armería", a special title of nobility within the Kingdom of Navarra, they had their own Heraldic Shield and with no evidence of origins of any other Heraldry.

The Palace of Azcona is a true genuine building of stone built at the end of the XVIII century, however there must have been an older Palace because we have records of the landlords of the Palace of Azcona since the XIII century when Martín Sánchez was the owner of the Palace in the year 1.240.

The very first reference dealing with wine dates from the year 1397 from the marital inventory in which all family roots and possessions are gathered. Amongst all these possessions, the Zaldimau vineyards appear, this being the palace where the Palace of Azcona cellar and its vineyards are actually located.
